Why this collection exists
All Black or All White
Most school and hospital dress codes want a solid color with no contrast logo, no stripe, no bright midsole. That rules out most of the floor. This is the part that passes — every style here comes in all black or all white.
What a Dress Code Usually Means
Every school and hospital writes it a little differently, so check yours. But the rules that come up most often are:
- Solid color — usually all black or all white, top to bottom
- No contrast logo — the swoosh or the stripe has to match the shoe
- No colored midsole — the sole counts as part of the shoe
- Closed toe and closed heel — no slides, no backless
- Leather or coated upper for clinical settings, so it wipes clean

Buying for a School Year
A shoe worn five days a week from August to May takes a beating, and kids' feet keep growing through it. Get measured at the start and again around the holidays. Buying a size up to "grow into" backfires — a loose shoe makes them trip and wears out faster in the wrong places.
For a teacher or a nurse, the wear-out point is usually the cushion, not the upper. If the shoe still looks fine but your feet hurt by lunch, that's the foam, and no insole fixes a dead midsole.
Non-Slip Is a Different Question
Black doesn't mean slip-rated. If you're on wet tile or grease — kitchen, bar, hospital floor — you need an outsole built for it, and not every all-black shoe has one. Those are here: slip-resistant work shoes. A lot of styles are in both collections, and we'll tell you in the store which is which.

Will these pass my dress code?
Most solid black and solid white styles do, but codes vary. Bring the sheet or a photo of it and we'll go through it with you.
Do you carry wide?
Yes. Wide and 2E in most brands, 4E in select styles.
Are these slip resistant?
Some are, some aren't. If you need slip-rated, start with our slip-resistant collection.
Can I return them if the school says no?
Yes, unworn. Bring them back or start a return at our Return Center. Return policy.
