Bondi 9 — maximum cushion

Hoka's biggest stack of foam. Built for long days on concrete: warehouse floors, kitchens, hospitals, a full day walking the Quarter. It's soft, but it's neutral, so it won't stop a foot from rolling in.

Clifton 11 and Clifton 10 — lighter

Less foam and less weight than the Bondi. Good for walking, gym days and easy runs. The Clifton 10 is still here in 4E.

Arahi 8 and Gaviota — stability

If your arches flatten when you stand, or your shoes wear down on the inside edge, you need stability, not more cushion. The Arahi is the lighter of the two. The Gaviota is the plusher one.

Bondi SR and Arahi SR — work

How a Hoka Should Fit

• Press the end of the shoe. You want about a thumb's width past your longest toe
• Walk a few steps. Your heel shouldn't lift out
• If the ball of your foot presses on the sides, go wider before you go longer
• Try it with the socks you'll actually wear

Most people have one foot bigger than the other. Fit that one.

Why We Sell So Many of These

Hoka puts a lot of foam under you and curves the sole so it rocks you forward. Your heel lands softer and your forefoot doesn't have to push as hard. Men with plantar fasciitis, bad knees, or twenty years on concrete usually notice it walking around the store. The insole comes out if you wear an orthotic.
