What Makes a Good Non-Slip Shoe
The outsole
Tread pattern and rubber compound do the work. Some patterns shed liquid better than others. We'll show you what's actually slip-rated and what just says "slip-resistant" on the box.
The fit
A shoe that's too loose lets your foot slide inside — that's how you turn an ankle on a grippy floor. We measure both feet, plus arch length. One foot is almost always bigger. Need room? See our wide and extra-wide shoes, or narrow if you're the opposite.
The support
All-day standing needs arch support and cushion. Without it you feel it in your knees and back, not just your feet. Ask about arch supports — we'll also tell you when you don't need one.

Bring your current work shoes. Flip them over first — if the tread is smooth at the heel and the ball, that shoe stopped being slip-resistant a while ago, even if the top still looks fine. The wear pattern tells us a lot before you take them off.

FAQ
Do you carry wide?
Wide and 2E in most brands, 4E in select styles, and up to triple wide in SAS. Narrow too.
I work a hot kitchen — what about ventilation?
We'll point you to breathable uppers and moisture-wicking linings. Wet socks in a hot shoe ruin feet faster than anything.
My dress code says all black. Do these qualify?
Many do. Solid black with no contrast logo is the usual rule — see uniform and work shoes, and bring the sheet if you have one.
What if you don't have my size in stock?
We can usually special order it. Call 504-910-2900 with the style, size, and width.
Can I return them?
