In the late 1850s, Benjamin Rosenberg swiftly established himself as an exceptional shoe cobbler upon his arrival in New Orleans from Europe. Nanette Rosenberg Adair — a descendant of B. Rosenberg — has worked tirelessly to bring the Rex Shoe name back into the limelight, embracing new techniques and materials, while never compromising on our core values of quality and attention to detail. Using the finest materials available to the trade, Rex is handcrafted in Spain with lambskins or suede uppers with goatskin lining. Each shoe has custom arch support insoles as well as lightweight and flexible outsoles — all designed to be as soft and comfortable as they are chic. Our partners have been making shoes for hundreds of years with precision and expertise, ensuring that you enjoy a truly unique and luxurious experience with every step.
