Non-Slip Restaurant Shoes New Orleans | Orleans Shoe Co.
Orleans Shoe Co. — for the people who work the room
Non-Slip Shoes for Restaurant and Service Industry Workers in New Orleans & Metairie
Ten hours on a wet kitchen floor is a different job than a workout. You need grip that holds on grease, cushion that lasts through a double, and something you can wipe clean before the next shift. We fit that every day — for line cooks, servers, bartenders, baristas and hotel staff across the metro.
Service industry discount
10% offIf you work in a restaurant, bar, hotel or coffee shop, ask for 10% off when you come in. No card, no signup — just tell us where you work. It's our thanks to the people who keep this city fed and running.
Ask in store. Some brands are excluded from discounting under manufacturer pricing agreements — we'll tell you which when you're here.

What actually matters in a kitchen shoe
Slip resistance, not just tread
A deep lug pattern is for mud. Kitchen floors need a rubber compound rated for wet and greasy surfaces, with a siped tread that channels liquid out from under the sole. Those are different shoes.
Cushion that survives a double
Standing is harder on your feet than walking — no gait cycle to spread the load. Max-cushion midsoles that runners buy for long miles are exactly right for a twelve-hour shift.
A closed, cleanable upper
Leather or coated synthetic. It keeps spills and dropped knives off your foot, and it wipes down instead of soaking in.
Arch support and the right width
Most of the foot pain we hear about in service work is a fit problem, not a shoe problem. We stock widths from narrow to 4E and build custom arch supports if you need them.
Brands we fit for service work
Hoka
Slip-resistant Bondi. The same max-cushion shoe runners buy, built on a slip-resistant outsole. The one we recommend most often to people working long shifts on hard floors.
Dansko
The kitchen standard. Stapled clog construction, a rocker sole that keeps you moving, and a wipeable leather upper. Trusted in New Orleans kitchens for decades.
Birkenstock
The Professional line. Closed-toe clogs on a slip-resistant sole with the cork footbed that molds to your foot. Good for anyone who wants Birkenstock support in a work-legal shoe.
Blundstone
Pull-on, built to last. No laces to untie in a hurry, leather that takes abuse, and a sole that grips. Popular with bar and back-of-house staff.
New Balance
Widths nobody else stocks. Slip-resistant work models in the width range that makes a difference over a long shift — up to 4E in men's.
Oofos
For after the shift. Not a work shoe — a recovery shoe. Slide into these when you get home and let your feet decompress before you do it again tomorrow.
Come in on your day off
We measure the length and width of both feet on a Brannock device, read your arch and pressure points on a Harris mat, and watch you walk. Then we bring out the right shoe in the right width. Free, no appointment, every visit — and bring the socks you actually work in.
